One is the capital of design in the world and the other is the oriental magic capital. The ancient legends and the modern sources are crisscrossed in time and space. Old time, present and future are co-existed and this phenomenon is not deep-rooted illusion. Alternation of time and space are everywhere here.
Customs in different places are grown in people’s hearts with her unique historical memory. Whilst architectures are the best reflections of those customs. They are pretty like fascinating kaleidoscopes that letting people never wanna stop. Those kaleidoscope designers, they ingeniously add some of culture, regional customs, social and personal elements, solidifying eternity and change, making people feel the true meaning of architecture in the vigorous sense of history and strong regional customs.

30th of May night, CIVRO Shanghai, Italian architect Mr. Andrea Marigliano talked about architectures and design fascination with a group of architects and designers from some different organisations and countries.
Mr. Sun from CIVRO Shanghai showed the warming welcome to everyone attended. Mr. Andrea Marigliano is the founder and chief designer of +1Studio Architects & Designers. He graduated from the Manchester University and used to work for the worldwide fourth largest architectural firm Aedas Architects Ltd UK. With his over 15 years experience in architectural industry, he is good at integrating eastern and western ideas into architectural design and cultural development, enterprise, business, hotel, retailing, industrial and health care projects.

At the party, Mr. Andrea Marigliano shared 2 of his projects in Wuyuan, one is a renovation hotel named Wuyuan Guesthouse Lightwell and another is called Wuyuan Victoria House Minsu. He emphasised the importance of adaptation and how to create opportunities to connect design with local customs and natural visions to spark WOW features.
Refer to the Lightwell project, Andrea blended the light with nature seamlessly by a patio, to create a cylinder-shaped space that people can enter freely to feel the nature inside the architecture.

While talking about Victoria House Minsu project, Andrea’s design inspiration came from the manor houses of England. He merged Wuyuan ecological tea garden, elegant woodwork and Victoria manor together to give people an imaginative and real, exciting experiences. Whatever it is the Hedge Maze tagged by Italian Renaissance, or the Secret Cottage Garden and Mini Golf, every twist and turn, something unexpected and delightful are displayed.

After the sharing ended, designers discussed the philosophy of designing freely with nice dinner and drinks. The early summer night of Shanghai is fresh and cosy. CIVRO showroom is so stylish with the light and shadow. We get designers from countries together in this private way to expect the “little true happiness” of designing.
Architecture is the expression of time and space, it tells stories of ancient times, contemporary ages and future. Those brilliant designers develop their abilities in every aspects in a modern way without disapproval of tradition. They follow the trend of world, combing national cultural customs, inheriting and developing historical heritages and Incorporating innovative DNA into modern design.
To do less, and to create more,designed for optimum living. This is the soul of designing and it is also the ideal of CIVRO constantly pursuits.
