Mr. Guodong Chen, a leading voice in contemporary Chinese rural architecture, presented his design journey focused on “growing new forms from traditional soil,” showcasing how tradition and innovation can coexist.
Designers from both countries engaged in meaningful discussions on key topics such as architecture, culture, and the environment, sharing their diverse perspectives.
Mr. James Peng, representing Guangzhou Design Week—one of the event’s key organisers—introduced the platform’s global vision. As a long-standing partner of CIVRO, IAF has built strong industry influence and maintained close ties with many leading design institutions. This Vietnam stop, co-hosted with VDAS, marks another milestone in China-Vietnam design exchanges. Looking ahead, Guangzhou Design Week will return this December with the theme “Dear,” continuing its mission to create globally influential design exhibitions.
Mr. Ho Tan Duong, President of VDAS Design Association, expressed his gratitude for Dr. Vo’s presence and said VDAS looks forward to future collaborations with both Guangzhou Design Week and CIVRO. The event showcased how cross-border design dialogues and craftsmanship exchanges between China and Vietnam can drive the future of Asian architectural aesthetics.
On behalf of CIVRO, Brand Marketing Director Leah Lin presented CIVRO’s vision as a global façade system provider. With exceptional product performance and a full-chain service model, CIVRO is committed to advancing architecture, improving living environments, supporting sustainability, and empowering design and better living experiences worldwide.
Through this event, design became the bridge for deeper China-Vietnam collaboration and unlocked new opportunities. VTN Architects and CIVRO will embark on a two-year strategic partnership, while IAF awarded VDAS Design Association the title of “Vietnam Regional Operations Partner” for the IAF programme.
For the first time in Vietnam, CIVRO unveiled several next-generation window and door systems focused on high performance, minimalist design, and lifestyle aesthetics— including the Retro-style system and the XD 63 Lift & Slide system. These products deliver enhanced performance and distinctive design language, offering more creative possibilities for designers.
In the window and door industry, installation quality is key to maximising product performance. This launch fully demonstrated CIVRO’s expertise in system-based window and door solutions, delivering a more professional and reliable installation experience for customers.

Guests explored CIVRO’s product showcase and installation techniques firsthand, with Dr. Vo giving high praise for the exhibits. CIVRO’s Vietnam team remarked that this high-quality and high-standard design salon has provided Ho Chi Minh City’s window and door industry, as well as the local design community, with an excellent platform for dialogue and future collaboration opportunities.
The evening concluded with a lively networking dinner, marking a perfect end to the IAF Global Tour Vietnam Stop and CIVRO New Product Launch.
