WERS: Certified Energy Efficiency for Modern Architecture

The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) provides a standardized star-rating system for the energy performance of windows in Australia. Managed by AGWA, WERS certification allows architects and homeowners to scientifically compare the cooling and heating footprints of CIVRO systems, ensuring optimized thermal comfort.

Australian WERS Membership

What is WERS?

The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) is Australia's independent, scientifically-backed authority for evaluating the thermal performance of fenestration products. Managed by the Australian Glass and Window Association (AGWA), WERS provides a standardized 10-star rating system that measures how a window or door system impacts a building’s energy footprint. Unlike generic claims, WERS ratings are derived from rigorous computer simulations and physical testing, ensuring that every rating is accurate to the specific climate and orientation of a structure.

Why is CIVRO a WERS Member?

At CIVRO, we believe that high-end design should never come at the expense of environmental responsibility. Being a WERS member allows us to provide architects and developers with certified, verifiable data on our systems’ U-values and Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGC). In a world where energy codes like the NCC are becoming increasingly stringent, our WERS accreditation serves as a technical guarantee. It ensures that our aluminum systems - noted for their slim profiles and expansive glass - meet the highest benchmarks for thermal insulation, helping our clients achieve superior 7-star energy ratings for their residential and commercial projects.
